On the 10th of May 2016 the Day@theCampus is all about collaborations between startups and corporates in the Port & Logistics domain. Startup founders, investors, students and corporate innovation professionals come together to meet and share thoughts. The Day@theCampus is a mix of speeddating, speakers and great opportunities for networking.

(13:00 – 16:00) Get in the Ring Speeddating

The Get in the Ring Speeddating sessions are held with corporates related to the Port & Logistics domain. 15 corporates are ready to date with you, corporates such as KLM, Port of Rotterdam, Van Gansewinkel, Vopak and KPN are joining.

Get in the Ring Speeddating is an initiative by Get in the Ring and EY and are organized by ECE. The online self-seating system NetworkTables.com is used to help participants set their own agenda and meet the right people.

(16:00 – 17:20) Workshop: Collaborating with startups – by PortXL

  • Mare Straetmans, managing director of PortXL, will share his experience of the first months of their startup accelerator. Recently the PortXL accelerator kick-off their program with 12 port-related startups. The accelerator is focused on connecting these startups to the partners in the port with the goal to make the Port of Rotterdam the most innovative port in the world. Mare Straetmans will share insights on how the partners are active with the startups and what they already learned in this proces. 
  • Joyce Bliek, director of Digital Logistics Innovations, on running her own startup within the Port of Rotterdam N.V. As a former director within the Port of Rotterdam responsible for Containers and Breakbulk Joyce had a big team and all the facilities to rely on. How has that changed after she took the step to run the corporate startup within the Port of Rotterdam that will improve the logistics supply chain with real-time data exchange?

The audience in this workshop are startup founders and innovation managers / business developers of corporates.
