Who can apply

Find out if a studio membership is interesting for you

If you are an early-stage entrepreneur who:

  • needs to further develop and validate your startup idea;
  • needs to find your first customer;
  • would like to be a part of a vibrant entrepreneurial community;
  • can relate to Ben;

…then the Erasmus Startup Studio is the perfect opportunity for you to develop your startup at your own pace!

Ben: a model Startup Studio member

Ben has been developing his idea for some time now. It is still very early stage: Ben has engaged in some validation but feels that he should “test the waters” more before fully committing himself to his startup. Ben is motivated to continue the validation of his idea and to find his first customers, but he needs a sense of structure, accountability and more confidence. Ben fears that if he jumps in too quickly, he will fail before he even began. He is sometimes easily distracted and would like to have a place where he can go to work on his startup idea, be surrounded by a group of peers that he can discuss his progress with regularly and receive guidance from coaches.

The Erasmus Startup Studio offers Ben exactly what he needs at this early stage of his startup idea: access to a vibrant entrepreneurial community where he can develop his startup at his own pace and at the same time receive tailored coaching from experienced mentors and peer entrepreneurs.

I’m looking for an investment, can you connect me to investors?

Yes and no. ECE has a huge network that does include many investors. A number of our coaches are also active as angel investors or venture capitalists and the ECE Campus is home to companies such as Symbid, Equidam and Maas & Kleiberg who can all support you in your quest for funding. That being said, it is our experience that many of our participants are not ready for an investment yet and raising money is therefore not the primary purpose of the Get Started programme. These subjects are covered in other programmes for later stage startups.
