How to develop and nurture the human resources and culture required for innovation excellence

Developing a sustainable innovation competence requires systemic organizational change: resources, processes and values have to be developed and nurtured to ensure the repetitive renewal and growth of the organization. This module provides you with the knowledge and the skills to drive your organization’s human resources for innovation to a higher level. A structured approach will be provided to attract, develop, and retain corporate entrepreneurs and innovation professionals. Moreover, coaching skills will be developed to support entrepreneurial employees and innovation teams.

Day 1: An Integral Perspective on Processes for Innovation Excellence

An organization’s most important resource for innovation are its people.

  • Engage in participant progress presentations and peer learning: participants share, discuss and reflect on their ongoing impact projects to build and improve innovation excellence in their organizations;
  • Develop the capability to compose, assess, and coach effective entrepreneurial teams;
  • Develop an integral understanding of Human Resources for Innovation Excellence;
  • Ambidextrous leadership in agile organizations.

Day 2: Practices to promote entrepreneurial behavior and competence

The best practices and insights to develop and sustain the entrepreneurial culture in your organisation.

  • Understand the nature of entrepreneurial competences, and how to develop them;
  • Work in teams to analyze and evaluate real-life cases to motivate and reward entrepreneurial movements.
  • Receive insights and learn about creating an entrepreneurial environment in the for your organisation fitting structure.

Day 3: Social Networks

Social networks are vital for sharing ideas, for gaining support for ideas, and – ultimately – for nurturing a culture for innovation.

  • Develop the capability to create a social movement for innovation, by engaging and exciting colleagues for innovation across units and departments;
  • Develop the capability to assess, build, and leverage social networks for Innovation Excellence;
  • Apply learnings to your own impact project to improve and sustain innovation excellence;
  • Develop your coaching capabilities and receive feedback from peers and alumni.

Building on the programme of “Leading Innovation Excellence”, this programme aims to develop and empower innovation professionals, “Innovation Drivers”, in their roles to develop their organisation’s entrepreneurial culture.  In their quest to drive innovation excellence and transform their organizations, these (informal) innovation professionals come to fulfill many different roles, such as the ones described in the infographic. In this programme Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship brings “Innovation Drivers” from different organisations together to get the most out of learning with and from each other. How much time will I need to spend on this programme?

The programmes takes 3 days. In advance of the programma you’ll receive several materials you are expected to prepare/study.

What is the maximum numbers of participants that can join the programme?

The limit amount of participants is 15 as we seek for a highly interactive learning environment. 

Where will the programme take place?

All our programmes take place at environments that spark your innovation. This module will take place at the Innovation Center of DSM in Geleen.

What is the fee for participating in this programme?

The fee for this module is € 3,500 (excl. VAT) for a 3-day in-class Programme, course book, ECE Corporate Entrepeneurship Scan, prepatory webinar & quiz, access to online learning management system, course materials, lunches, dinners and social activities.

What kind of certification will I receive when I graduate from this programme?

Participants in this programme will receive a proof/reference of participation.

Participants will receive a certificate from the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, Erasmus University Rotterdam, if they comply with the Certification Requirements;

A participant must within two years successfully complete:

  • All three Programmes of the Innovation Driver Certification Programme;
  • ECE Entrepreneurship Scan;
  • Personal Real-life Impact Project;
  • Case Exam;
  • A Personal Learning Plan;
  • A published Opinion Piece.

In what language will the module be held?

The first module of the Innovation Driver Certification Programme for corporate organisations will be held in English.
